October is globally recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Each year, healthcare providers, researchers, and innovators come together to shed light on the impact of breast cancer and to push forward solutions that can improve patient care. This year, Microsure is proud to be part of Pink Innovation: Turning Awareness into Action, an inspiring event that will take place on Wednesday, October 8, at the Mariënburg Campus in ’s-Hertogenbosch.
About Pink Innovation
Pink Innovation is a unique gathering that brings together clinicians, researchers, entrepreneurs, and patient advocates to discuss the latest developments in breast cancer diagnosis, treatment, and care. The event is rooted in collaboration: by uniting diverse perspectives, it aims to spark innovative ideas that can translate into tangible improvements in patient outcomes.
The theme, Turning Awareness into Action, is not only a call to recognize the widespread impact of breast cancer but also a reminder that meaningful progress requires action in science, technology, and care pathways.

Microsure’s Participation
Microsure is honored to contribute to this important initiative. Our CEO, Iwan van Vijfeijken, will participate in a panel discussion with fellow experts to explore the role of innovation in shaping the future of breast cancer care.
For Microsure, breast cancer care is not just a clinical challenge, it is an area where innovation in microsurgery and reconstruction can have a profound impact on patients’ lives. Our mission is to empower surgeons with advanced robotic solutions, enabling procedures that are more precise and consistent. While awareness is crucial, action lies in translating ideas into real-world solutions that support both patients and clinicians.
Why It Matters
Breast cancer remains the most common cancer among women worldwide. The journey from diagnosis to recovery can be physically and emotionally demanding, often involving surgery and complex reconstructions. By bringing together medical expertise, patient voices, and technological innovation, Pink Innovation offers a platform to rethink how care can be delivered.
Events like these underscore the importance of collaborative ecosystems: no single organization can solve these challenges alone. At Microsure, we believe that partnerships with hospitals, research institutions, and fellow innovators are key to driving change.
