Microsure is a medical device company located in Eindhoven (Netherlands) founded by Eindhoven University of Technology and Maastricht University Medical Center in 2016. Our focus is to improve patient’s lives through developing robot systems for microsurgery.
Our current product is MUSA, the world’s first surgical robot for open microsurgery. MUSA is designed in close cooperation with microsurgeons and engineers, specifically for microsurgical applications. MUSA provides superhuman precision for microsurgeons, enabling new interventions that are currently impossible to perform by hand.
We have an excellent business team with proven track record in the commercial, clinical and technical domain. In addition we have strategic collaborations with clinical key opinion leaders, industrial partnerships and quality and regulatory experts.

Maastricht University Medical Center+, one of the founding partners of Microsure, is known for its focus on prevention and taking an integrated approach to healthcare. Its core tasks in addition to top clinical and top specialist patient care are scientific research and education/training. Maastricht UMC+ has 715 beds and approximately 7,000 employees and 4,000 students. Maastricht UMC+ is currently performing multiple clinical
robotic microsurgical studies in which MUSA plays a dominant role.
Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) is one of the founding partners of Microsure and is globally known and appreciated for its research collaborations with industry and in creating spin-offs, start-ups and patents. TU/e turns promising technological concepts into projects and products with direct impact. In recent years, TU/e produced an impressive number of spin-offs and start-ups. Microsure is one of the success stories.

Microsure has been awarded the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 13485:2016 certification. The ISO 13485 certification is another major milestone for Microsure. ISO certification assures healthcare providers and patients that Microsure is adhering to the best quality management and regulatory compliance procedures to develop, manufacture, and test our products and services. ISO 13485:2016 is the latest update to ISO requirements for a comprehensive quality management system for the design and manufacture of medical devices.
